WWE Network won't get 1 million subscribers domestically but worldwide I believe they can pull it off.

Ive been thinking that Vince might want DirecTv to drop the ppvs or at the very least drop the prices. If a worse case scenario comes about you know that a more affordable ppv could equal more buys so maybe as a fukk you to directv and a way to get more profit for himself. Or maybe im looking for justification on why the ppvs have been so purposely shytty the past 6 months. :yeshrug:

I was gonna say I do think they'll get the 1 million domestic, easy

But then I looked at the recent buyrates for PPVS... even if all the people that regularly order the PPVS signed up they would need like 400,000 more people in the U.S. to sign up as well. :whoo:

I don't think they will "break even" on the first year... my prediction is WWE App won't go under, but it's gonna be in the red for about a year and half. Once they have all those global sign-ups the App will be a reliable revenue stream, but it will be a miracle if they get the 1 milli domestically I think.

yeah...looking at who their TRUE LOYAL fanbase is...alvarez' thought that there are about 80k people who buy every single PPV no matter what. That is their baseline.

beyond that there are your semi-frequents that buy based on card, thats another 100,000....then theres your semi-annual...thats another 200,000....and your mania-only thats about 300,000

so you have to convert about 600,000 AT LEAST into monthly 'payers of wrestling'.

good luck

and thats not even a million

It's not the same people over and over who are purchasing PPVs. I doubt many people are buying all 12.

WWE explained at their conference that in the United States alone... nearly a million households ordered between 2-3 PPVs a year. You would THINK that these people would just pay the ten bucks especially around WrestleMania time as they would receive an additional 5 PPVs and the on-demand service for the same price.

I'm not saying this will be a big success but WWE has definitely crunched the numbers and believe it will be.

Vince needs to think realistically and not be rash when it comes to this, if this isn't jumping off as fast as he wants. He'll pull the plug or something
