It depends on the concentration not just the major.

they dont get it. :aicmon:

nikka says business majors and then mentions Marketing and Business Admin, the two lowliest denominations. Let me see what the Finance and Accounting nikkas look like

I'm doing a Philosophy minor, and Philosophy is a weird degree, at least at my school. Depending on what path you take in the degree, it can be an easy or difficult time. My friends usually take the hardest approach by selecting classes which are challenging.

There are philosophy classes out there where you could probably defecate and smear it on 10 pages and get an "A".

Who's comparing shyt to Engineers though :aicmon:?

Blah blah, we all know theyre the cream of the crop. Fact of the matter is that they have a ceiling and still end up working under us (without that MBA). We sit in them meetings yall wish yall could be in.

Take it from my dad. A civil engineer for Canada's largest engineering firm.
Nice smiley btw

Yup, my dad wishes he went to law school. I told him he shoulda got his MBA. There are certain skills (especially social) Engineers dont have and certain things they dont know though. We all know school doesnt mean shyt. So what if you can find the double integral of y = arctan2(x) x sin(2x) at the drop of a hat. How is that gonna make money? :what:

And guess what...he has a PhD in Philosophy too :whoo: which yall bigging up in here but still aint on that level. He nice, but knowing him...he could be that much better.

nikka coulda been the Ambassador between Italy/Ghana and passed it up :damn:

Your dad's story is one that I hear a lot from my Professors. That's why I'm getting an MBA after I'm done with my undergrad studies. I never planned to do research or teach anyway.

civil engineering on average is the least paid of all engineering disciplines and is also the easiest to get a degree in :usure:

you havent done calculus period if you have to ask why math makes money :rudy:

Actuary which relies almost exclusively on mathematical modeling..is a BUSINESS major and one of the most difficult yet also most profitable business majors.

nikka please. In the real world we have microsoft excel for this shyt. Youre proving my point but go on. Bring out the pen and paper and start cracking down on them integrals and differential equations.

I bet you really think Tim Cook turned Apple into the most valuable company ever using his engineering degree more than his MBA huh. :rudy:

The models are important, but it takes the business mindset to be able to apply them. Cause point blank, if youre honestly trying to tell me that the most prominent CEO's worldwide could tell you the integral of y = 1 / (square root) of (1-x^2).... off the top of the dome or better yet bring out the pen and provide proof...youre kidding yourself
