A lot of rappers like to go to studios because it's like "going to work". You drive up, post up for X hours then go back in the car to the hotel/home.
A lot of rappers also record albums in different locations.
It's kinda like going to the library to study when you've got the books and desk at home. Or oing to work all the time when you know you can take a few days at home. Some people just prefer to work like that.

Like Boosie and Gucci..yeah they got hits but their music quality aint the same as Rick Ross or Yo Gotti
Im sure Gotti got a studio on his tour bus but his shyt always has good quality

not necessarily, Kendrick and them record in that small ass studio. I think it just depends on who mixes and masters the record. Those are the most important things.

A lot of times it's in the record label contract that you have to record at certain studios..........It's just another way for a label to eat. For instance, Puff owns Daddy's house.....if he signs a rapper, why wouldn't he get them to record a set amount of hours there, he eats off of it (helps pay the rent there), then takes it out their budget. Win, Win.
Like someone said, it is nice to be able to get up and go to work as opposed to having everything in the house. You can focus better and also you don't want certain people coming by your home.
But yeah, more rappers should invest in their own studios right away as opposed to blowing the bread on nonsense.
