Man... this caught me by surprise. Didn’t know it was coming out. His albums would always be day 1 for me . ELE 1 had me and my boys stomping through the yard while he was screaming out cities on that everybody rise track.

this shyt has that same feeling. Thanks Buss

:blessed:

Busta Rhymes verse on "Scenario" came out in 1991 - In 2020 He dropped this bomb.

29 years of quality music can't go unnoticed and I think it was going unnoticed when people kept mentioning their top 10 list.

Longevity has to be 10/10 - number 1 all time - that counts for alot.

Yeah longevity wise he's in rare company. Really only Nas, Ghost and a few others.

Busta's like top 20 for me but I wouldn't second guess anyone ranking him as their GOAT for a second, he's earned that.

shyt is inexcusable. Dude coulda got some college student to do this shyt for 100. Or even free just for the promo. Some of these tracks sound like demos. Can barely even hear the instrumentation. It's a shame cause there's some gold here and Busta is really spittin. But the poor mixing makes every track feel dull as hell.
the average listen is NOT going to notice any of this.

Track 6 thru 11 is a no skipper sequence.

also 1 thru 7 i believe

Up to the track with Q-Tip and I’m very glad to be mostly hearing some vintage Busta. I was really concerned with his flow on here after how bad he sounded on his Griselda appearances. What I would like to know is if he’s lost weight, or are these previously recorded verses:patrice::jbhmm:

100% agree thought we was gettin coked up wrestler busta. this iz vintage when dizaster strikes busta
Throw this on as a bonus track and there’s 2 Dilla beats

I've listened on Studio headphones and on the system at home and to be honest I thought it sounded clean :jbhmm:

I'm listening on Sony m3's. Just listen to the Nas album and listen to this. That Bel Biv devoe track legit sounds like a radio rip. I mean for late 90's yea this sounds fine. But it's 2020. Beats shouldn't be sounding muffled anymore. The highs overall just don't sound clear. Strap yourself down is another one that doesn't hit like it should because it sounds so flat. But i did fukk with the the EQ in Spotify and it helped some. I still fukk with like half the album. The Kendrick, rapsody, and Ross joints are fire. My favorite is prolly that freedom track though. Busta's pen game really impressed me on some tracks. Dude spazzed on that "Best I can" track.

But still It's inconsistent overall and the mixing coulda been way better. Album shoulda been cut down to like 11 tracks. Just doesn't feel cohesive at all. Feels more like a compilation of unreleased tracks from different eras. Don't see it having much replay value.

I almost crashed my ride listening to Outta My Mind. Jumped right in front of another damn car and almost got T boned.

Had to change the song. That song got too much energy to be trying to just bob your head
That's that experimental- take a risk- bug out shyt you used to get in the 90's all the time from true hip hop artists. You don't get tracks like these nowadays, that's why its so rare. None of these new younger artists go out on a limb like that anymore and its sad.
