A lot of the Black people who are coming off as anti-vax are actually just deeply invested (intellectually/financially/spiritually) in holistic health, natural remedies & what not. Some of them know they’re selling snake oil. And some of them are legit trying to help.

Pro-vaccine people have to stop lumping everyone together. They’re not all intentionally bad actors.

Good point. My mom put me up on homeopathic stuff my whole life so I empathize with that group to an extent..but it was never really in lieu of other medicine, particularly for serious illnesses. Example: there was a tree sap type cough syrup she would give me rather than dayquil/nyquil. But that didnt mean I didnt get a prescription when I got strep throat. Theres an important line to draw there that some of the good intentioned people are not correctly drawing imo
