Glad to see Russell having this type of game. Cats were too quick to write him off and while I still don't believe he will be a superstar in the league he will be an impact player and a high level starter for the next decade plus.

I swear I ain't trying to shyt on the kid while he's hurt but they've been playing better without him. Jameer Nelson has been good for them.
He's the type of player that will need to play through his mistakes until the winning formula comes to him. Wall did the same. Nuggets need to get him someone to play alongside him though and fast.

We remember Brandon Jennings had 50 his rookie year and OJ Mayo had 40 something as well and I don't think either of them were starting.
My point is that he's gotta be more consistent.
His biggest problem is shooting. When teams started planning for him and starting playing him to his weaknesses he struggled a lot.

If he got consistent minutes he'd continue to put up good numbers.
I'm not trying to hate on him. I will say that his poor start and seeming lackadaisical effort really irritated me. That bizarre sh*t on instagram, posting blank images is perplexing.
I want to see him play well even with his limited minutes. And I don't mean that I want to see him score 20 points a game in 10 minutes or something outlandish like that. I think he should play well regardless of the minutes he's getting.
I actually want/expect to see him get more assists but I know that it's hard to since Kobe handles the ball a fair amount as does Clarkson and whenever Randle gets a rebound he charges down the court maniacally.
He's had some really good games the past month or so, but he's been up and down. He just needs to be more consistent.
