Wouldn't the best move to be make the trade with the Sixers, then try to persuade Gordon Hayward to sign before trading these assets for Butler?

Boston has seemed confident it's walking away with Hayward or Blake since at least February

They can get two though, as long as they go in order of signing Blake or Hayward first, then trading for Butler after.

That wouldn't be smart, because a) you'd be cutting into the minutes of a promising rookie like Jaylen Brown and b) they desperately need rebounding and rim protection.

They should've traded for Nerlens when they had the chance. He would've cost them nothing, and he's from the area.

EDIT: I didn't see Blake's name there. If they get Butler, Hayward shouldn't be an option. Another big man should be the goal.
