So, I was thinking about getting myself a house on a few acres right outside KC, prices are like whoa. I went riding around to see what the neighborhoods looked like. To get a couple acres anywhere around the city you're paying at least $400-500K.

But here's what hit me. I'm driving around outside the city and between all the houses I see all these plots on 5+ acres with a trashy ass house, shyt all over the yard, some old fat cac sitting on a mower, and it hit me. Their asses are sitting on a gold mine. No matter what happens, they know they've got $100Ks underneath them. They can sit in their trashy house making $30K/year, but they've got WEALTH.

Brehs if you can find a way to get any kind of land, grab some and hold onto it. And don't sell until the price MAKES you sell :wow:

If you can find land IN TOWN the city then i'd say yea because most ppl value convenience. If you live out on the outskirts 30-40 miles out from the closest stores in town then that land is less valuable because it's inconvenient to drive 15, 25 minutes into town anytime you need something.

Reminds me of my commute. I drive an hr to and from work on a KY backroad. There are houses on this route even tho it's so rural there isn't even one gas station out between the two ends of that commute. So all those ppl live out there probably on a few acres and it's probably peaceful and uneventful but just thinking of driving 45 minutes to hit a town with a Walmart or Mcdonalds...:mindblown:

Most ppl who stay out there either farm the land or had a family that did farm that land out there at one time who passed it down to them. I feel like if you gave me a house out there i'd sell that shyt so fast and be cool with an acre lot in town.
