Buying my house was the most stressful thing I have ever done in my life.

Owning a home was a lot of work but ultimately fulfilling.

Selling my house was a lot of work but it got done.

I'm good from here on out. I'm staying in an apartment building for life.

What made it so stressful? Im trying to view things from the other side cuz I honestly feel a lot of stress is self inflicted if you dont have a shytty processor on ur file

What makes you want to never go back to owning?

I have downsized considerably to pursue a minimal lifestyle catering exactly to my desires and I just moved across the country anyway. I don't need a lot of space. I also took gardening very seriously and worked extremely hard on my garden and yard. I feel like I did a lot in six years and am proud of it but a house and lots of room and space don't mean anything to me anymore.

Met with our potential broker last week and meeting with lending officer tomorrow to start pre-approval paperwork :lupe:

I’m not really worried about the process but my wife is pregnant so I know the actual looking at houses part is going to be the annoying part. :francis:

Good luck OP

Getting approved, getting financing, getting documents together. My partner and I at the time were just hella stressed. It's hard to explain. It worked out but I will say it was a lot of stress.

I feel you.

I still wouldn't want to pay someone else's mortgage all my life though. I want to be at a point where I 0wn my house and cars and have 0 debt

You should just get a tiny home or like a 1000 Sq ft house lol

Yeah I deal mostly in relocations so 80% of the time its some rich white person and the most minor inconvience makes them lose their mind. Like breh I want you in this house and get approved so I can go back to bullshytting the rest of my day.

I had a file where they had a huge money gift as an asset. NBD. Except its in all cash :dahell: so were like well sir you have to deposit that to count as income :mjlol: and we need gift letters...and it comes out the money from all types of shyt...now we letters for these huge deposits...opened a huge can of worms, and it all could have been solved by just having it in ur account when you applied.

I be trying to catch the fukkery before it happens for the borrowers sake but its literally unavoidable half the time.

We bought about 2.5 years ago and it was a smooth process. I’m very happy with our home. It meets all our needs and most of our desires. Nothing like cutting the grass while the kids play on the play set, watching movies in the rec room, growing vegetables in the garden, diving up in the wife in the master bedroom...
:wow:

Just focused now on paying it off in 15 years and doing a few upgrades.

Could ya’ll post more examples of homes in your areas? Im just curious. Damn I’m complaining about 300k and ya’ll talking nearly half a million dollar homes.:to:

These houses are in my area of SE DC.

1506 Fort Davis Pl SE, Washington, DC 20020 | MLS #DCDC497818 | Zillow

3682 Camden St SE, Washington, DC 20020 | MLS #DCDC496574 | Zillow

1405 42nd Pl SE, Washington, DC 20020 | MLS #DCDC497900 | Zillow

2625 36th St SE, Washington, DC 20020 | MLS #DCDC492750 | Zillow

Housing market here is so tight people out here sending letters, calling and texting if I want to sell.

I personally prefer living in a nice apartment building instead.
