I was torn between this and the M&P. Went with the saint because of the Magpul accessories and the superior barrel.
The weapon, taxes, and background check was about $1000 total.

I was torn between this and the M&P. Went with the saint because of the Magpul accessories and the superior barrel.
It's a little pricey for an entry level, but it comes with some cool accessories and a better barrel than a lot of other entry level factory ARs.

From here. This is my model. I don't know anything about NY regulations. I'd imagine they are similar to California's.
Interesting. I haven't check out the gun magazines in a minute but The Saint didn't get much love a couple of years ago was it out then?
It could be corruption in the gun industry because when you talk about Quality all you hear about is BCM, Daniel Defense, Colt and Spike's Tactical in that order.
I bought a Spike's lower as part of my first AR and the castle nut wasn't properly staked. Their customer service was good and I eventually staked it myself but I never fukked with them again. Also they had the Old school grip and I much prefer the BCM Gunfighter grip.
What kind of barrel do they use? is in 1:7 or 1:8? what kind of trigger do you have? Are you planning an upgrade? I've been accused of being a "gun snob" on here but I've seen white bois on the range with a Windham weapondry build that failed before.
