Good stuff sir. Get a good home inspection and stay on everyone that is involved, realtor, loan officer, closing lawyers, etc. Don't get overly worried if closing gets pushed back, happens all the time.

The beauty of it is, since it is a uyers market all of these guys are staying up on ME. I never have to pick up the phone to find out whats up. Inspections set for thursday and appraiser soon after that. Closing is set for the 23rd in the contract.

I will let you guys know what it appraises at.

Man, congrats on getting your own house at 22. I wish I would have done the same, but I didn't. It's cool though. Keep doing what you doing because it sounds like you're doing something right.

if he lived at home for a year.. and he was dilligent about his savings.. at like 16 dollars an hour which i know u can get pretty easy for a warehouse job in canada... he could of saved 8.5k pretty realistically... assuming the downpayment was 10% of 85k

At the end of the day, you're the only one who knows your financial predicament so fukk everyone else (your hating ass coworkers) w an unsolicited opinion.

Just take all the necessary precautions that have been mentioned already. Protect that investment.

Im paying 10K down. I work for a manufacturing company under the UAW so yes I make enough money. Great benefits too. I feel bad for all my old friends coming out of college in debt and cant find a job. You dont have to go to school to make a decent living.

That said, Im still in part time school.

Oh lol @ the guy who called ducktales. I been living at home working like hell. Its rare for my checks to be below 700 a week. My dad works at the same place and dud brings home like 1500 a week easy.

i'll never be able to afford a house in my city

ah well thanks parents

I hear ya. Nice houses in Boston are well over 350k good luck with that down payment/mortgage. Even the houses in the worst neighborhoods in the city are over 150k unless your trying to live in some run down box for 60k.
