Yeah, they need to shore up their second unit - in saying that though, they have the luxury of stagnating PG's or Melo's minutes (or even Russ') so that there is always one of them on the court. They were the worst 3-pt shooting team last season too, and although adding Melo and PG do certainly help, they do need a player at the 2 spot who can stretch the floor for them when needed, because I don't know if Abrines is ready to take that leap.

Sabonis isn't even on the Thunder anymore, he was traded to bring in PG13. How you going to be arguing about rosters & not know who is even on those rosters?

Unless they play GSW in the 1st round I don't even see them getting through Houston or the Spurs. People desperately hoping Melo will turn into Olympic Melo now that he's off the Knicks don't realize that the teams/competition Melo cruised through in the Olympics are nothing compared to how stacked the western conference in the NBA is right now. And despite all the additions to it's roster no one on the Thunder compares to the prime Lebron, KD, Dwight, CP3, Kobe, etc. that Olympic Melo got to play with on Team USA either.

I love the rockets, but Westbrook gives cp3 hell

The difference between the thunder and rockets is defense. OKC has a chance to be a really good in that aspect. The rockets will only be able to outscore teams.


Last year the thunder played the spurs tight with a one man band and their roster has been significantly upgraded. The spurs will always be a tough out no matter what but the star power is lacking. They really need Rudy gay to have a great year. LMA is clearly unhappy in SA and his role. I don't think SA will be as good as they were last year.

Nobody seems to understand how melo works. He thrives with competent politicians by guards that play good pick and roll and know when to get him he ball. See Chauncey Billups and Jason Kidd. To a much much lesser extent Ray Felton...

Put melo with ball dominant guards and it's gonna be a struggle. Melo doesn't play quick and will ball stop doing his 'jab, jab, stutter step, stutter step' shuffle. I mean I hope it works but Melo is set in his ways and Westbrook is very ball dominant.
