of coursed he was stressed. since he was 4 years old he's been fighting the most ruthless goons that have no problem in killing kids At home his mom was always stressing him about hitting the books and getting them grades. his best friend was a 30 yo midget And he had his father would rather train than spend time with him for most of his life. There's one more disappointing thing about Gohan besides his post-cell games falloff that kinda bugs me.

Dude never came out with any unique moves.
Sure, Goku got all his moves from other fighters, but he still had stuff that was unique that none of the other Z fighters really knew like kaio ken, instant transmission and the spirit bomb. Not to mention that he had that power pole (He shoulda used it more ) and his flying Nimbus.

Everyone else had their own little signature move. Krillin had his destructo disc and that weird scattershot that he bodied all the saibamen with, Tien had the tri-beam, the solar flare, and the multiform technique, Piccolo had the special beam cannon and the hellzone grenade, Vegeta had the big bang attack, the final flash, and the gallick gun.

Even Yamcha was rocking the wolf-fang fist and the spirit ball

Gohan never really invented or learned any original moves outside of swaggerjacking Goku and Piccolo unless you count going Mystic. Dude was all power and no technique
He could have been that dude in the Buu saga

Vegeta trained hard as fukk for 7 years and still couldn't catch up

Had to get that power up to get to Gohan's Cell Game level

Dr Gero taking some already rebellious teenagers, giving them superpowers, and expecting them to actually listen to his crusty old self

As dope a fight as Piccolo vs 17 was, all the energy Piccolo was putting out was a huge signal for Cell to come right through and start absorbing whoadies
17 trying to act hard around Cell
Vegeta coulda murked semi-perfect Cell right there but he was playing around and wanted a stronger fight so he let Cell go for 18 instead.
Krillin coulda deactivated that switch, but he was trying to get some play and he didn't.
Bulma not telling 16 that she removed the bomb from his body so he can't selfdestruct
Goku throwing Cell senzu beans
Gohan going full and not murking cell when he had the chance, which wound up getting Goku and Trunks murked
Goku giving academy awards speeches instead of teleporting in, grabbing King Kai, and getting out
Cell playing games with Gohan and ending up in the bushes
