Andrew Bynum has not ruled out re-signing with the Philadelphia 76ers once free agency begins on July 1, according to the player's agent.

"I don't see why not," Bynum's agent, David Lee, said when asked whether or not Bynum would consider signing an extension with the 76ers this summer. "I still feel like the ball is in their court."

Bynum, who had arthroscopic surgery on both knees last month to remove debris, hasn't played a single game for the 76ers after coming over in a trade with the Los Angeles Lakers last August.

"Philadelphia has been terrific to us – from [majority owner] Josh Harris to [CEO/co-owner] Adam Aron to [general manager] Tony DiLeo," Lee said. "The only way that Philadelphia would not be an option would be if they decided that they wanted to go in another direction."

I hope that neither HE or Howard re-sign with their current teams. Just to teach owners and GMs a lesson about trading for players who publicly expressed that they'd rather be somewhere else than the team they are being traded to.

When has Bynum ever publicly expressed rather being anywhere...only time I've ever heard him speak on his preference of where he'd like to play in public, it was to specifically say he has no preference because “There's a bank in every city...and I’m going to play hard basketball wherever I go, so I’m good"...Philly had no signs that Bynum had anything against playing there

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
Has Philly ruled it out though?

Not officially.

Theyre in a hard spot cause if they let Bynum go for nothing, the trade will look really bad for them... But they shouldn't let that force them to give him the money they would have to, some team will be stupid enough to overpay...

Houston will be likely if they can't get dwight

Maybe im thinking of someone else than. But i definitely hope Howard leaves the Lakers just to prove a point. And before some of ya'll say he wanted to go to the Lakers, NO, HE DID NOT. The man wanted to goto BK. But since Orlando wouldnt budge that forced BK into resigning Lopez which made Howard going there more difficult so at that point Howard had to take the best offer he could which was going to LA.

I am personally against trading star players to place X when they have expressed they want to go to place Y. It's like the receiving GM saying "I dont give a fukk what you want you're gonna come to me and do as I say and I know you will because you wont walk away from your max deal".

I know its unlikely Howard or any player would pull a dumb move like that to leave all that money on the table but Id love to see a player do it and go to where they wanted to go all along just to prove a point. We need a Ricky Williams in the NBA

to me, i hate the gm's who actually take the player.. then get big headed just "knowing" that they will love it and resign anyway.

the gm's who have to trade the player have no choice. if they sent him to bk, they might have got a lot worse deal than to send him to LA. plus bk knows the player wants to come there, so they not gonna send over their best anyway. but for the lakers, or any teams in the position, to say fukk what he wants, we'll make him love us, that's kinda crazy

Exactly. The departing GM shouldnt give a fukk. he just wants the best deal for him. The receiving GM is the one that has the gull to say "fukk what you want" is the one i want to get screwed.

Dwight Howard had two options the whole time : BK and LA. He has said numerous times that his first option was BK but would welcome a move to LA because that was his 2nd choice. Why are you acting like Dwight came to LA and is unhappy because he didn't want to be here. :dwillhuh:

That was a choice GIVEN to him. It's not like he looked at LA and said I wanna be there. They told him it either <shyttyTeamName> or LA. Based on what I hear dude had no desire to play with bean.

Either way, I hate the Nets but i still hope he finds a way to go there just to send a message.

But thats a pipe dream. hes not gonna lose all that money going to the Nets.
