It was his until he wanted a package deal with Wilson. Don’t blame him one bit.
Facts I agree but at the same time he could also never get a shot. Not saying this will be the case but his name was hot after being attached to the Superbowl winning Bucs and was calling the plays for Tom Brady. Say the Bucs dip back down into mediocrity and he now becomes an afterthought. These coaches always strike while the iron is hot. Plus a black coaches are always going to get a bad job period. My thing is once they turn it around and steer the ship then they get fired and a white coach is brought inBecause as a black man you only get one shot.
There are exceptions, but it’s highly unlikely you get another shot if this one fails.

Yalls owner wanna be white. I can tell by his blonde wifeLeftwich didn't want to come here because of Baalke
Pederson didn't either but now that Speilman is getting the job it's looking like Pederson is getting the job..
Honestly Pederson and Jim Caldwell was my first choices but the idea of having Adrian Wilson and Leftwich kinda got me mad that this is what it's come to..
Black GM and black coach would've been too much![]()

He would definitely get another OC job no problem if he was fired imo. Even if fired, I think once you get that 'NFL Head Coach" title under your belt even as a black man eight out of ten times it assures of another cordinator job at least and it opens up college head coaching jobs at P5 schools. Herm Edwards @AriZona State, Denny Green @Northwestern, Lovie Smith @Illinois, etcI agree, he may not ever get a shot.
However, I think he would rather be an OC, and at least be in consideration, as opposed to taking the wrong job, getting fired, and never getting an opportunity again.
Hell as crazy as it sounds let’s say he got the job, and was fired. Would he even get another opportunity as a OC? The idea seems kind of crazy that he wouldn’t. Unfortunately, these are things as black men that we have to think about.
That was his last shot. No one will be calling when they go 4-13 with Blaine Gabbert![]()
