He's surpassed that Tom guy and the other new guy they had on NXT already. He's also good on Smackdown as the semi-antagonist commentator.

As hard as it is to find good ppl on commentary, Vince ain't never lettin him wrestle.

Only going to get better.
Blessing in disguise for him, imo.
Not to mention that as a black wrestler in the current WWE climate, his ceiling as a commentator is a lot higher than it would be as a performer.
He's well spoken, which means they would have had him dancing and rhyming with Truth.
