Got me worried about my sister who takes the train sometimes.

Dude not only stabbed her but slit her throat to make sure she died and it looks like they were a couple based on what the witness in the article said so he most likely abused her before this.

Read the details there's really not much anyone else could have done after the attack outisde of staying beside her in her last moments and maybe covering her up for the sake of her dignity and family

If the stabbing happened on the platform, then the most somebody could do is run up and drop kick the guy, but even then he still would have gotten some pokes in and he could have fallen onthe tracks gotten electrocuted and now youre facing a manslaughter charge. The reaction time to process that you're witnessing a stabbing and then assess the situation and make your mind up to kick him is enough time for 3-5 pokes, which can do some damage, but if the stabbing happened IN the car, then all they had to do was gang up on him, cta cars are small as shyt. I know wouldn't have gotten involved, one swipe and now I'm bleeding out too, trying to be a hero?

All I'll say is that its easy to criticize these people when you're safely behind a keyboard. Its different when you're actually in that situation yourself.

Ideally should someone have stepped in? Yes, but I completely understand why someone wouldn't be willing to potentially give their life up for a stranger. People willing to do that are called heroes, and are pretty rare.

fukked up situation overall, but blame the man who stabbed her not the bystanders.
