Ha I just had this convo on here the other day. Latinos are only genuinely cool when they grew up with black folks. They usually live together in hispanic neighborhoods though, and those are the ones who have slick shyt to say about blacks...monkey, blackie, etc. I learned how they were in high school so they get no passes from me.

There's a different dynamic between different Latino's and the regions they're from.

Growing up on the East Coast I lived in a neighborhood filled with Puerto Ricans and Dominicans. We grew up side by side and never had any racial issues from my experience. No Black person ever had an issue.....no one cared about them saying nikka. We had practically the same experiences growing up together.

When I moved to Texas it was another story though. Mexicans and Black people aren't anywhere near as close knit as Puerto Ricans and Dominicans. Down here has been the only time I've seen any Black person care about the usage of the word.

Not just half. The majority of Latin Americans are mixed with black. shyt is one of the worst kept secrets around. And, in fact, it's why a lot of Hispanics are so racist towards black people. They are projecting their self-hate, attacking that which they know they are linked to.

As a Latina, I can honestly say I have said the N word. I'd never call someone that, or ever use it as a racial slur though.
