My issue with her was trying to minimalize or somewhat justify what happened, by saying if she wasn't on her phone it wouldn't have happened. She should have just kept her mouth closed

Shes fully aware of what shes doing. c00ning is a practiced behavior where you go against the grain of your own conscience constantly.
