Oh how i always LOVE hearing these stories and reading these comments. It never fails that you turn that much money in and usually get not a damn dime. This time he got next to nothing in comparison...1%?!?! 
That being said ppl who lose that amount of money usually know how much they have and are looking to get it back. I don't know if he did the right thing cuz the unknown to me is how far can ppl go and the reasonable expectations that they will be able to recover the loss of valuables if they think or KNOW they left it in a cab. In other words will police and jail time be brought into the equation.
Now as i sit here and think about it, there's virtually NO WAY they can prove you took the money versus saying someone else may have gotten in after that guy and thats who took his stuff. So with those variables in mind ain't no way in hell i would have turned that money in with that as the given situation. This nikka right here woulda bought a nice crib with that money.

But breh I would put that bag somewhere safe untouched for at least a month till I was certain it couldnt be traced back to me. Even if dude remembers he left it in your cab, theres no evidence that the cab driver has it, hell maybe one of the others dozens of passengers that day took it. You wouldnt be able to spend that shyt lavishly either coz their may be some eyes on you but gottdamn just knowing you have that money sitting there would keep you on constant Only a stupid nikka would get caught
