Lmao they scammed him good. The employer is responsible for paying their employees. If they don't want to pay a living wage their business deserves to fail. It's that simple.

Can't tell that to some people. You are NOT entitled to a successful business.

Yea you’re supposed to tip on to-go orders and it’s really stupid. I actually asked an outback employee years ago when I did a curbside pickup. They’re expecting it. I’m not gonna penalize the employee for a fukked up system.
i tried researching this before and there wasn't a conclusive answer

after covid and lockdowns a lot of people did however start tipping on pick up orders and then a lot of restaurants started expecting it because their staff was only working the kitchen and getting no more dine in tips. now they want to keep that going.

I tip when I dine in and I still don't think a pick up order should be tipped.

Yeah, tipping culture is toxic as fukk. Customers are getting bullied/shamed to basically be the ones keeping the employees lights on, when its supposed to be the employer they contractually agreed to work for.

The entitlement when i see people cry about it on social media makes me never want to tip again.

you dont tip the cook, you tip the service/front of house

when you pick up the food yourself, they're not seating you or refilling your drinks or bussing tables. if i caught my crew pulling shyt like that id fire their asses

and lol @ "warning: reddit" in the topic :lolbron:

because usually they serve and wait on you at the table. we not arguing if they deserve a tip or not. it's when they do....
What are u talking about...tables? I specifically said take out. As in, walking in, paying at the counter, getter your food and leaving.

If your dining in of course u should tip, if u dont your a bum.

I would have loved to be in a situation where the person I’m tipping asks me to justify the amount I’ve tipped.
