Kush was a state, up river of Egypt/Kemet. It wasn’t the name of all of Africa.

Kingdom of Kush - Wikipedia
Technically, it didn't really have a name. Some called it Aethiopia because cacs didn't really explore the whole continent but the northern part during the Carthage era was Cush in the Bible.

Sorry, this isn’t correct.

The northern part of Africa during the era of the Carthaginians was not referred to as Kush. Even the Bible makes reference to the land of Libya.

Thinking about it I feel like calling ourselves alkebulan or Alkebulanian would be a better term to use vs Ados, Fba, or African American.:ohhh: No one else is really using the term and it will probably never take because it’s contentious origins.

Africa was named after a Roman .....Africanus

So yeah, she does descend from the empire.

Alkebulan is the name before it was called Africa.
Nah. Hundreds of millions of people did not have one name for their continent.

Ain’t some Greek and Roman historians sometimes call all of Africa Libya or Tunisia, or Aethiopia? And aethiopia used to be used interchangeably with Nubia before Abyssinia? And then some of these countries aren’t even tied to the historical places and empires they’re named after right. I remember Herodotus calling Sindh(India) Eastern Ethiopia and that Egypt and Sindh were two Ethiopian empires.

It seems like names just get repurposed
