I hear you. Not sure what country in Europe but I think you’d be good with plumbing/electrician or any trade job. These jobs in UK are always in demand.

it’s more practical.

Update: so I was sure they were gonna fire his ass after that ordeal but they didn't. He showed up for his shift today and apologized to everybody. He said he was having a rough morning and some shyt about his dog and the vet. He started crying while explaining that shyt and the GM took him back to the office to talk to him. Idk man.

I was trying to listen so I could understand but I wasn't about to get behind on my orders to listen to some cacs sob story about his mf mutt. The crying shyt made me uncomfortable. Idk why. It's the way he sounded, like he was gasping for air but thru his throat like a hard wheeze...

:unimpressed:

I swear to y'all, it's always some shyt going on here. We in here busy af on this Thursday morning. 2 people called out so we kinda struggling. But it's not that bad. This cac started getting frustrated because he couldn't keep up with his orders. He started yelling "its too many! I can't do this! I need help!"

So cool, we shorthanded but I hop off my shyt and go over to his area and I look at his screen, this mf only got 6 easy ass orders on his screen :what:

I'm like come on man, breath, relax and complete these orders one at a time. No need to strain yourself trying to rush. This man said "I'm sorry I can't take this. Not today, not this morning". So the Lead told him to calm down and it'll be okay. Just do the best you can.

Dude started making the orders then another popped up on his screen. He started yelling again "I'M NEVER GONNA CATCH UP". He started pulling his hair and bending over like he was struggling to breath. "I'm having a panic attack, I need to leave, I'm leaving. I have a headache"

I kid you not. I said bro we already down 2 people, if you leave we'll be down a third. Calm this shyt down man you got it. It's not that serious :why:

This man snatched his apron off and left.. The lead been calling his phone but its disconnected :deadrose:

These mfs are something else. I got his screen clear and hopped back on my shyt. They tryna call another person in to cover his shift now. Mind you, this mf is a 34 yr old gay man with a HUSBAND.:francis:

Funny this thread is made. I just had a mental breakdown at work today going at it with this lazy piece of shyt boss. But its a warehouse minimum wage job so i dont care its just that ive been there for oever 5 yrs and seeing all the bs they pull without lifting fingers themselves got to me.

I dont know what else to do tho. Feel too old to go to school and get a "good" job and im sure working at similar enviroments will just lead to the same shyt eventually.

*sorry for the random rant*

How old are you breh? I think there might be some opprtunities out there that you're simply not aware of. You will run yourself to the ground working a bullshyt job that you hate, and that's simply not worth it in the long run. Unless you're in your 70s or something, you still have time.

You don't know the level of shyt and neither do I. I don't know if he's being overly sensitive or if some major shyt happened, everyting in the OP is from the OPs perspective.
yeah.... a busy kitchen can be kinda stressful, especially if you havent learned everything yet. some people just arent built for the kitchen. yall need to get him on register or wiping down tables or something lmao

@ThrobbingHood

Soon turning 33 bro. I hear ya i think im bad in school tho. Was pretty good as a kid but once i hit my teens it
became REALLY hard for me to focus and concentrate on reading books, studying for tests etc i just zone out or fall asleep.

BUT i actually did try it. Went to university on and off for a few yrs but i had so many personal as well as family issues that i felt i had to work to help myself and them. It was a point i almost even fell into criminality, and im a big ass square! Only cuz i had no other option to help the people i needed to.

This started as soon as i hit 18 so its depressing and conflicting.

But i hear you bro and i 100% appreciate your words cuz i definitely need them. :mjcry:

How are you old at 33? :gucci:

You're not thinking straight bro. Going through adversity and having to struggle from young will do that to you. Especially if you haven't had much guidance and had to figure everything out for yourself. Sadly, that's the story for most of us.

But I am telling you, you are DEFINITELY not too old to try something different and build a career that you are happy with. Listen, the average retirement age is going to be somewhere in our 70s for our generation (I am older than you but not by much). That gives you around 40 years of work life. Think about that for a minute. Do you want to be working bullshyt jobs for the next 40 years? What type of person will you become in that time? It's one thing if you like doing manual labor, that's fine. You can even live comfortably doing these kinds of jobs. But you seem to hate the current trajectory of your work life, so do something about it.

Also, read the posts in this thread for some inspiration:

There's plenty ppl here who started new careers in their 30s breh. Heck, I'm currently in the process of transitioning into a new career God willing.

I was a material lead for a automotive plant some years back and this White guy had a breakdown very similar to how you described. He had a few minor freak outs during training but when we had him on his own he broke down into the fetal position crying(swear) like bro was face red BAWLING.

He thought he was way behind but I kept trying to explain to him that he had a buffer so he wasn't close to shutting down the line but when I left his eyesight he snapped out causing a scene.

I felt bad Lowkey. He was talking about how he was off his meds and how his wife financially supports him etc. He was gone the day after. 3 days total.

@ bolded Damn, that hit hard. Thats definitely a thing with me. Im the oldest of my siblings and theres a big difference in age between us. Had no pops, no big family over here or none of that. Moms had me young and came to this country in her early 20s so she had to learn and figure it out as she went and juggle with everything.

Im saying old in the job market. Im thinking learning a new course/program in University and graduating in my mid 30s with no experience in said field will make it very hard for me.

Interesting. I will definitetly check the thread out. May i ask what you're transitioning into?

Bro if you live in Sweden you've got it made :russ:

As for the age thing, it depends on what career path you settle on. Companies will overlook lack of experience in certain fields that are in demand. But there's a general labor shortage in cac countries, including Sweden, so you will not find it difficult to find work in many fields. You're your own biggest enemy. If you overcome your own mindset, you'll see opportunities that you aren't currently seeing.

I'm transitioning into software development. Currently teaching myself web development. Look into it and try it out. Maybe you'll like it too. A Udemy course is like 10 bucks if you catch it on sale. And they have sales damn near every week.

If you like working with your hands, look into learning a trade. Electricians, carpenters etc are in very high demand everywhere and they make good money.

Lol in the 90s maybe but not now. Similar to the states the right wingers have been growing real big for the past 20 years and alot has changed. Sweden is fake in their PC culture and their image.

Yeah im considering a trade or maybe programming ie Python etc, do you know if its too difficult to learn? I read a tiny bit yrs ago and at least Python
didnt seem impossible to learn. I just never got to actually try it (programming) and just read a few pages.

Interesting. Props to you and pray for the best in your endeavours bro :salute:
