As much as I hear/see his name, I still have no idea who is this white man is or why he's famous.
White rapper from Kentucky. Started self-releasing shyt in middle school, gained a following and got signed to a major. He had that song with Lil Nas X. Black folks "invited him to the cookout" :coffee: and now there seems to be this sudden backlash lmao.

Wow lol.

If you really wanna expose the cacness of a CAC........talk about R&B music. Talk about something with actual soul. These cacs can talk about Wu Tang, Pac , and Tyler the Creator all day but bring up Carl Thomas, Anthony Hamilton, Eric Benet, Jasmine Sullivan and Raheem Devaughn and they'll be lost.

I'm not impressed with any cacs knowledge of rap music.

Bring up R&B or some Southern Soul and they'll be lost.

I honestly give the side eye to any black dude who isn't versed in at atleast a little R&B also.

Brandy was always black famous and hasn't been in the mainstream for decades. This isn't surprising.

What's black famous? Any black person that goes 6X platinum worldwide on her debut album, first black woman to play Cinderella on screen, and was the lead on a sitcom for 6 season in the 90s was FAMOUS famous. You act like we're expecting him to know who Monifah is or something.

Welp. Tale as old as time.
The cookout is canceled indefinitely. Too many polar bears got inside the gate.

Cmon now that’s 1 song. Ray J was not a music star. He had this, One wish which was years later, and maybe 1 or 2 other notable songs. All spread out over time

People over 30 know Ray j bc he’s grandfathered into our conscious, bc he is brandy’s brother. So we know to keep an eye for him, got to know he’s a funny ngga, etc.

If you’re younger and have no reason to commit him to memory, he’s a pretty obscure celeb. Ray J has like 5 noteworthy moments/songs spread out over 20 years.

Come on now. You think NBA Gay Boy, Lil faq X, Lil dikk Baby, Lil queer yatchy, or any other new gay rapper of any race will know those names? I’m not saying Jack Harlow is innocent but these new kids of all races are all lacking knowledge of the old school. They don’t know shyt if it’s not on tik tok or ig. We are giving our kids too much credit. I’m around my son’s friends 15 and they don’t know shyt about zapp and roger, Jodeci, Shai, Ideal, Kieth Sweat, and my son and al know friends are all black.

Fam Im almost 40 and I promise I dont know who tf Jimmy Ruffin is. And who knows maybe I wouldn’t have known who David was if there wasnt a temptations movie

Y’all trying too hard. He’s young. Young people don’t know shyt. Even ‘Black Twitter’ is full of these types of silly revelations.

anyone born in the 80s to parents who weren't 15 yrs old knows Motown artist like the back of their hand

either that or ur a cac, asian or mexican

:mjpls:

That's my point bro. I would give all those dudes the side eye.

And ultimately it's a testament of our "soul" being lost more and more as each generation goes by.

The younger parents of today grew up on rap and can't pass old school soul music down to their kids.

I have a 9 year old daughter and best believe she already knows hella r&b songs going back to even to the 70s.

So yea, if I can't talk R&B with you or you can't sing along to any, you get the :leostare:

You might as well be a CAC to me :manny:
