I don't think a 17-year-old can legally own a gun. And even if they can, I doubt they can have an open carry license.

I read the thread before watching. This is exactly what happened. Unbelievable.that motherfukker walked passed an entire police convoy with a AR after shooting people and still didn't get stopped

If it was legal they would have police and these militias deputized and shoot BLM protestors. Many states were trying to pass laws to make it legal to run over protestors with a car.shyt is crazy. Nah he had a charge for something with a 15 year old, even if hes scum it makes no difference to the fact that his shooting was wrong and unnecessary

It looks like the min. age for purchase and possession in Wisconsin is 18, so what he was doing was illegal, especially coming from out of state.
And going across state lines with an illegal firearm would make it a Federal case

he's an illinois resident. first off, you cannot open carry, which he clearly was doing.
second you have to have a FOID card in order to even buy ammo or a gun. no one under 21 can get a FOID on their own UNLESS they are active military. also a FOID card doesn't mean you can conceal carry here. Thats a seperate license with the FOID being a prerequisite to getting a CCL license. I have put details below.

the ilinois conceal carry license is honored in wisconsin. I highly doubt he had one because of his age though as it'd be very hard for him to get.

only a few states have age limits on possessing a long gun, and in most that do it's lower than 18 (14 in MT for example). but in most states (such as IL), a child of any age can possess a long gun given to them by their parents, they just can't buy one from a store. in WI, kids can possess guns only while under the supervision of their parents.
two weird things about this shooting are that the kid had blue lives matter shyt all over his facebook, but the militia he was a part of was supportive of black lives matter, and was there to protect their members from the police.
i forgot which of the footage i saw it in but i think the first guy he shot (red shirt, throwing the molotov/bag of trash) was some sort of racist/instigator, he was calling others the n-word.
