Link: Women’s Advocate Lisa Bloom Reportedly Offered to Smear Weinstein Accusers for a Handsome Payday
Harvey Weinstein, currently on trial after being charged with sexual crimes, and one of the most prominent accused as a result of people speaking up with the Hollywood gentrified #MeToo movement had some interesting help: namely attorney Lisa Bloom, who, through a leaked confidential memo, has been found to have assisted him in various ways, including starting a smear campaign on his behalf toward one of his accusers, Rose McGowan. Her mother, Gloria Allred, was also part of the gravy train.
Now cross reference this with the recently released documentary, Untouchable, chronicling the rise and fall of Harvey Weinstein, and a number of the people he allegedly victimized in the hostile work environment of Miramax, as well as in his role of Hollywood gatekeeper. One of his accusers was silenced via a non-disclosure agreement in which the accuser was forbidden to even speak to a therapist about his alleged infractions. To find out that Lisa Bloom, advocate for victims, and known shyt talker about Michael Jackson among others....was out here helping Harvey doing this shyt?
Also note: Untouchable was at this year's Sundance Film Festival, where it was overshadowed by the hoopla surrounding Leaving Neverland, a several-times edited down after lies were discovered, twice as long, largely fictional and/or unsubstantiated account of two men, who accuse Michael Jackson of abusing them as children, while under the cover of the entire entertainment press.
Now part of this is not really news to people who knew how Allred got down (find a high-profile case, hop on the civil side of and secure the bag off the settlement). Even Lisa Bloom initially apologized for working with Weinstein. People just didn't know she was doing this shyt.
But it is funnystyle to see these women go on code like this, while also positioning themselves as advocates for victims.
