Basically what ur post is..is a claim based on the infamous analogy of the Elephant and the Blind Man
In which a group of blind men(Humans) are asked to describe an elephant
The first one grabs the trunk and says "an elephant's like a snake"
Another one who is feeling the leg says "Its nothing like a snake, its like a tree trunk"
ANother one is holding the side of the elephant and he's like "No an elephant is like a wall"
U get the picture... anyways
The point of this analogy or parable if u will, is to show how each of the religions, though somewhat correct, are in the end wrong and that anyone who would steadfastly say "AN elephant is like a snake, and I don't care what anybody else says or thinks, its like a snake", is someone who is arrogant and foolish.
And here we have a problem
This parable is intellectually inconsistent and it uses smoke and mirrors to pretend that those who uphold this view are more tolerant than the rest of us, but int he end, its no more tolerant.
Let me explain.
The only way the parable of the elephant and the blind man(ie: your post) makes any sense is if the narrator of the story sees the whole elephant.
The moment you claim that ultimate reality is unknowable to us, you have just claimed the knowledge u have just said cant be claimed
The moment u say this type of knowledge is unknowable to humans u've just claimed the knowledge u say cant be claimed.
This is intellectually inconsistent, Im not even speaking religiously here.
Im speaking intellectually, philosophically ur statement has an unbelievable amount of holes.
On top of that, the belief system that no one can know God in such a way as to invalidate what someone else believes about God is in itself a religion that has its own affirmations, denials and absolute truths.
