There are people who run another's pockets when they are in a fight, knock someone out and that someone accidently dies. You can't prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he didn't try to kill her or that she tried to kill him. If she defends herself from murder after the fact, even if guilty herself of theft and extortion beforehand, she's not guilty of murder. She doesn't have to let herself be killed because she stole something. That's ridiculous.
