Why do white people think that white privilege is about "hard work"?

This guy seems to think that white privilege means something entirely different. It doesn't have to do with being born with a silver spoon in your mouth or not. It just means that white people have unspoken advantages in society...and we totally do. I don't see how it can be argued. Maybe it's because I live in the south, but I don't see how people can think that this isn't a real thing.

We have to work twice as hard to even get recognized in this country and even if we do become successful we're still treated like second class citizens. They can keep throwing around holocaust, but it does not even hold a candle to 300+ years of enslavement and systematic oppression that is STILL in effect till this day. And while they came over here after the holocaust and was immediately accepted into the dominant society and was able to open a businesses, we were trying to make something of ourselves and actually succeeded briefly only to have them burn down our homes, businesses, banks and they literally stole what wealth we acquired.

Fast forward today you have CACS talking about "Blacks are just violent and look at the prison population statistics" when we're are 62% more likely to get pulled over and sent to prison on either false charges and drug charges WHICH cacs are given warnings and passes instead. We don't have a fukking chance here...PERIOD. fukk hard work! We work hard enough as it is, only to be exploited. Hell if we had went through a holocaust instead of slavery we would have been well off because the Nazi's are still put on trial till this day if they are found. I see this on my Facebook these days all the time. White people of wealth, or white people from university's are getting very defensive of this shyt, like they feel deep down like theyre slowly losing this grasp of privilege and are seeing the image that their kids or grandkids may have to play in the same park as everyone else.
