This could very well have happened but there's zero chance a newspaper will pass on reporting it breh. Every single local murder gets reported. There's a lot of claims being thrown around that have to be questioned. How do they know that the kid got beaten if the body hasn't been released yet? It sounds like they've yet to conduct an autopsy. Again, it couldve happened but stories like this running rife without any real information has became a regular event on social media. I can count at least 2 very similar stories that went viral on social media this year, that literally quietly went away when facts emerged. Also find it very hard to see how police cannot, at the least, press manslaughter charges if there was clear evidence of a fight and kid being tossed off a roof.

Accidents and suicides happen breh, even when you least expect it. I sympathize with family but people need to scale back until more is known.

Update: he was badly beating before being thrown off, they refused to release the body today but hopefully he will be buried tommorow.

The Seattle Police Department is conducting a death investigation after a 16-year-old student died after falling from a balcony in the Capitol Hill neighborhood on December 5th.

The department is aware of community concerns about the case and Assistant Chief Robert Merner is personally supervising the matter.

As with all death investigations, we ask the community to be patient and avoid jumping to conclusions while detectives conduct their work.

The King County Medical Examiner’s office will make a final determination as to the cause and manner of the young man’s death.

Police are asking anyone who may have additional information to contact investigators at (206) 233-5000
