I am untethered and my rage knows no bounds!
These big ass handhelds are hilarious

I think for smaller moments in these games, like grinding n shyt, it's still not too bad to do in handheld mode. But true story progression and all the big moments, I save for the big screen.yep I realized this with the Switch. I don't like playing games like Metroid Prime or BOTW in handheld mode. but games like Advance Wars or Metroid Dread were fine
I took the Switch 2 to work today and the damn thing is just too large. If you have some luggage or a backpack you're taking somewhere it can come with you but to me it's barely portable. My phone is portable I can just slide it into a pocket and have it on my person. It was also guzzling battery on standby doing nothing. These big ass handhelds are hilarious![]()

Even a PS Vita could just slide in a pocket. These new age portables just can't.
I've been seeing ads on Amazon for switch 2 sling packs. shyts are huge, might as well carry a duffel bag around
The tradeoff for power
This is the big question with all these handhelds at this point. Will it allow Steam and Gamepass tho![]()
I don't really see a reason for them to make a portable PlayStation. It will basically be their Xbox Series S but probably worse. Some weaker spec hardware that can't run the full blown games like the home console can. The Switch 2 is the only system so it runs all Nintendo games. The Steam Deck is on the scalable open PC format so it has options and some games it can't run. There aren't really dedicated Steam Deck games either they're just PC games.
A portable PlayStation will be closed box and likely just like the PSP and PS Vita have to have it's own version of games because no way are they making a PS5 level portable at a reasonable price.
That still puts it at a disadvantage. Both the Steam Deck and the Switch 2 don't require separate games from the ones you play at home. They're saying it'll play PS4 and everything below natively. Then youll have to stream ps5 titles. That's a decent tradeoff since 75% of "this gen" games were also on ps4
They'll lose money on it for damn sure![]()
