Yeah
20 mar 2015 — I would like to extend a message to Emily Eavis, in response to her peice for The Guardian...
"Thank you. Thank you so much for every year, putting on a festival of such awesomeness, it's name is known globally, and recognised as "the festival".
Glastonbury is the name I've been keen to add to my "festival CV" for a long time now, and I'm genuinely excited that this is my year. My response to Kanye headlining was genuinely 'tongue in cheek' but it seems to have struck a chord with many people and escalated pretty quickly. (oops, right?) I'm surprised it's this popular, and it shows that Kanye is a divisive character who will certainly be a force to experience in June. (I won't be seeing him, but I know that the main stage will be as busy as it is every year) I'm actually pleased that you are not u-turning on the decision to cast Kanye, as you haven't disappointed in previous years, and we (I) should really have faith in you.
(I promise not to complain about any other acts...even if it's Coldplay)
I do still respect you for the work you do and if it's ok, I will still be attending your festival. I'm very excited about it, and simply cannot wait."

To Kanye...
"I have received a great deal of support for you over social media, and it's clear that many, many people highly respect your work. I'm not a fan myself, but we live in a diverse and exciting world, where it would be pretty boring if we all liked the same stuff... I know you're a confident performer who is used to taking some criticism, and I'm sure this petition is 'water off a ducks back'. I hope you have an amazing time at Glastonbury, and feel free to say "ha!" when you smash it!"

To rap...
"I have been approached by many people talking about the great things rap has done for communities. It's so refreshing to hear from people who are doing such great work for today's youth. While I maintain that (in my opinion) some aspects of rap music are not a positive influence to everyone, it is clear that it can, in the right hands, be a powerful tool for the good of many. There are similar schemes for many (perhaps all?) genes of music, and regardless of personal taste, this deserves celebrating.
I apologise if my petition has come across as a blast against the rap genre. That is inaccurate."

To everyone...
"Glastonbury supports many great causes, Oxfam, Green peace and Wateraid, for example. I would like to ask for your support in helping with these Worthy Causes by donating to any of these charities. Let's get whatever 'good' out of this petition that we can... I ask you all to join me in donating something (anything) to one of these great causes. If everyone who has signed my petition donates even a tiny amount, it could help change the world."

Thanks for reading, and again, I ask you to do some good and please support the Worthy Causes.

All my love,

Neil

Man behind anti-Kanye West petition admits he has never been to Glastonbury before
http://www.nme.com/news/kanye-west/83621

the irony

1) Glastonbury is about to have a high ass attendance now for the drama 2)Kanye puts on a damn good show 3) Kanye didn't think Beck should have won although never listening to album, guy petitioning Kanye to not perform at Glastonbury for due to Kanye's outlandish comments has never been to Glastonbury

nice
