it blows my mind that NY, CA, and other cities are allowing this. Pre-pandemic in California, many companies required you to work in the city in order to avoid people from LA snagging SF jobs for instance. Yet now you can live ten states away and work remotely, earning the same inflated salaries that are based on the CA market. 200k in SF might be equal to what, 80k in parts of the Midwest? Yet you can earn a 200k salary from a Cali tech company while working in Toledo? Insane.

What a crazy way to lose tax revenue. It’s like a modern version of what happened to Detroit. White flight led to whites moving to surrounding cities, and commuting into Detroit to work. The result was Detroit losing out on tons of tax revenue, and played a major role in the city’s economic collapse. Gotta imagine states will figure this out and stop it right?

It also amuses me how people go and take enormous loans for property development and then cry about the hardships of being a landlord

That broad stated she had a 5700 dollar mortgage so she was forced to have to sell to high end renters lol.........

Many of her employees are living in tents and trucks......

Them motherfukkers are out their damn mind

I think there is a case in the court system with states fighting over taxes actually

Colorado, Wyoming and Utah are the goat states to live in if your on that off the grid shyt

Don’t sleep on Montana and the Dakota’s

Those Winters though :picard::merchant::damn::scusthov:

Only thing that would stop me is the brutal winters.

The scenery and peace you get up there though :wow:

I probably would never move to these places, but heavy winters are a good thing. Keeps more people away. Winter has never bothered me. Give me a pickup for those areas and I'm good

The US is a large country with a great deal of empty space. Lots of natural wildlife and such. But the racial demographics is a huge hindrance to living in these places. No black people in their right mind would want to step foot in fukking Montana or Wyoming...come on.

Being the only black person in a 20 mile radius is unwise. You're in a powerless position. They can just kill you and make up some story about your 'accidental' death. Imagine being out in the middle of nowhere fishing and a group of park rangers strolling by decide to hang you from a tree. Imagine being on a boat with your white friends (the only kind of friends you'll be able to make in the area) and they decide to toss you overboard as it often happens with black folks.
You Cacs and your racial fear mongering never cease to amaze

How is this different than companies outsourcing the last 20 yrs
Hell states like Delaware let companies incorporate there knowing none of the employees will live in the state
Those in power just need to stay in power, often by raising campaign money thru lobbyists of said corporations. Those people in power don’t really need to worry about how their state is performing if they can maintain control (ie: bytch mcconnell)

Lol...because it hits different when your city becomes like Detroit
I used to wonder what would happen if teleporters were invented
I guess remote work is kind of like that
