I use this site regularly for sports, so I understand the magnitude of the number 350,000. It's why I tried to include comparisons of subscriber numbers.

350,000 people on one subreddit is a lot of goddamn people. It's a number 100,000 greater than the amount of people on r/hearthstone, or r/dota2. These are two massively popular games marketed specifically towards the sort of people on reddit. A subreddit focused solely on black people is blowing them out of the water. Honestly, I'm not comfortable with that.

Black Twitter is not on television. Black Twitter is not marketed in anyway to the general public. Black Twitter is not a billion dollar industry.

Yet, somehow, Black Twitter gathered enough attention to be on par with and outpace some of America's most popular past times on reddit. It's uncanny.

Why does it matter so much about what some cacs do on the internet concerning black people in their free time?
