Ever since the whole Janet Jackson boob tassel fiasco, the half time shows have been scrutinized, edited, re-edited and watered down to a tee. That being said, either someone wanted Beyoncé to put this message out there or Beyoncé tripped up the process and did everything last minute with no time for authorities to tell her "no". I'm more pressed to believe the former. Most likely a white person okayed the outfits and the song choice, but probably didn't understand the context of the song since the video came out literally a day before and the lyrics are about hot sauce.

no they knew EXACTLY what this is what what it would do. THey even formulated the media reaction afterwards.
