An easy rebuttal to these accusations is that they didn't say they didn't understand black culture (and then point to all of the non-blacks or mixed people on the staff), but that they didn't understand hip hop culture, or the audience and artist that they as a show cater to, which made them unfit for the job. The fact that they confused the terms in itself proves that they don't understand the culture.

At least that is what my rebuttal would be.

This is exactly what's wrong with America's legal system.

Set up laws protecting against racial discrimination...old white men with money use it to sue to get more money when they're fired.
Set up laws protecting against hate crimes....old white men withe money use it to create legislature making resisting arrest a hate crime against cops.

This is what brought about post-modern Critical Legal Theory "contrary to the common perception, legal materials (such as statutes and case law) do not completely determine the outcome of legal disputes, or, to put it differently, the law may well impose many significant constraints on the adjudicators in the form of substantive rules, but, in the final analysis, this may often not be enough to bind them to come to a particular decision in a given particular case".

It's completely illogical. Laws are created to prevent people from being fired from a job because of their race.
People who get fired from the job due to their race do not have jobs, and therefore do not have money to bring the cases to court.
Only people with money, only people with jobs, only white men, can afford to sue using laws made for people who don't have jobs/non-white women...

this doesnt make sense.
Discrimination is discrimination.

Every white person doesnt grow up rich...so if they happen to work for a person of color, there is a chance they could go through the same things a black person could go through.

Also...you dont need money to sue someone...especially discrimination cases.

There are literally no white people where I work...if for some reason a white person got hired, and everyone clowned on him for being white...he should just take it?

They had no business hiring white people for those positions in the fist place. If you're a black owned business you should only hire cacs if your business is retail, or restaurant, basically at these places white people can be the workers and you'll get white customers too which means more money. In something like a TV network all black is the way I would go.
Exactly.

You misunderstood my entire point which was that facts/laws/normal ways of assessing a court case are inherently a part of the discrimination itself. Which is reflected by white people using hate crime laws and discrimination in the workplace laws completely out of context for their own personal benefit.

funny thing is the best part of howard's show is when he would go off on his staff for being incompetent and fukking up.
