Isn't the family usually in charge of picking a person to do the eulogy?
in most case yes. but considering bill clinton background and his lack of respect for black men, i would think he would be the wrong man for the job

The funny thing is if Ali was an upcoming boxer today with the same bravado and confidence he will get the same hate as he did back then from them. Now they're acting like they loved him all the time.

Hold up Bill Clinton... Since when did he become a champion of blackness? 
Don't give me that first black president mess, I'm pretty sure Ali would not have called him that- only easily entertained people who identify blackness by playing a sax and a penchant for adultery while overlooking his policies which brought mass incarceration of our young black men (I won't even begin with his comments about Obama on the campaign during his primary vs. Hillary or Clyburn for not supporting his wife) .
I got a feeling Ali had not a single hand in this decision. I'm with @jackson35 the honors should have went to dikk Gregory hell even Bill Russell or Jim Brown. Clearly his widow would rather impress the masses
than put a contemporary who championed the same causes and struggle to send him off. In less than 50 years when "they" tell his story in film or books he will be some biracial kid who preached universal love and peace for all.
