They don't care, it's all about narrative. Ronald Reagan did the same thing in the 80s. He helped plant this narrative with his infamous “Welfare Queen” remarks, even though cacs have always been the largest recipients of Welfare benefits since its inception, and are also likely to be found committing welfare fraud. Still, the narrative/perception isn't as attractive to the masses unless Black or Brown people are made the face of it. It's also been statistically proven that Black and Brown applicants are more likely to be denied these benefits as well.

It's the same as the hard data is statistically proven that the average amount of tax money that a taxpayer pays towards SNAP is between $20-$36 ONCE A YEAR, but let them tell it as they go on with their stereotypical rhetoric shouting about “my tax dollars, my tax dollars”, it's hundreds or thousands of dollars a month, and even with this stat being proven they're still going on about their “tax dollars”.

It's not about facts for most of them; it's about perceptions and narratives that play into their ego and desire to believe they're naturally “superior” to everyone else in terms of ethics, character, income, etc. This is why you can have a poor white trash individual living in dilapidated conditions, with a shytty job, broken down car, and still have the nerve to believe that they're better or more “superior” to a Black person living in better conditions, driving a nice car, not to mention more physically attractive, and working a high-paying job.
