My issue is not that they do this, its more so the fact that they do it and then bar everyone else from doing it. then they turn around and mock you for it.
For example, think of something as seemingly mundane as the climate accords. They wreck the planet and then prosper their societies off of cheap fossil fuels and then turn around and wag their fingers at developing black, brown, and asian nations that they have prevented from doing the same. Think of how india in the midst of a Western imposed fuel crisis was criticized for keeping their nation running on russian oil (while germany stilll used russian gas) or how china is criticized for turning on their coal plants amidst power shortages.
You see the same thing arise with their western praise for things like "free trade" despite the foundation of their 18th, 19th and 20th century economies being economic protectionism . Even today, they come to Africa asking for free flow of their goods into African markets to destroy domestic production, while imposing tariffs and restrictions on Afican goods coming into Germany, FRace, US, or the UK.
Think of the various laws and coventions that bodies like the anglo/german/american dominated UN have for regulating seemingly innocuous things like industrial chemicals . Did you know the reason Malaria is not killing them in the American south as badly as it does people in India or DRC is because they spent decades spraying the air with chemicals to kill mosquitos?. Immediatley after benefitting from a much healthier society they pass conventions banning the same compounds they used. THey then pressure asian, arican , and latin nations to sign into unequal conventions, while holding development loans hostage. And then these villains immediatley go back to wagging their fingers at nations with a malaria crisis.
I need not even mention the atrocities they commited in the 20th century and their moves to immediatly ban the usage of everything from chemical weapons to nuclear weapons, to aerial fracturing bombs , after they literally conquered the world with these technologies. And while they still hold onto these technologies right now in 2023
Rather than their morality not caring how success is achieved , the real issue is that they feverishly stress on how others succed ; while blissfully igonring how they suceeded.
