You're venturing into odd terroritory with this one.

Not saying you're wrong but in the context of when Jimmy lived he at least initially had trouble getting black people to like him like that since he was thought of as playing "white boy music" while white folks seemed to be into him more at first. Though from my limited knowledge of his life, closer to his death he work to try and appeal to black folks more and tried to play at majority black venues. Also he started doing more blues oriented stuff.

Jimi Hendrix is only considered the greatest guitarist among White people.

Black people don't normally mention him among the greatest guitarist. Black people almost always mention a blues guitarist like Albert, B.B. or Freddie King. Hell all of the White Rock guitarist copy off of the Black Blues guitarists so the Black guitarists are best.

When do white people downplay Jimi Hendrix? All they do is praise him as a rock legend. The only people who downplay him are "black people", the same group who don't even really know who he was and can't name a single song of his. You've got this shyt backwards.

:what:

Black people knew who Jimi Hendrix was. He got his start in Black bands. He played in bands with Little Richard, Wilson Pickett, Sam Cooke, Chuck Jackson and the Isley Brothers.

Hendrix is lauded as the best guitarist ever by most music media...

It isn’t hard for cacs to give Jimi props. At this point cacs have no problem giving props to blacks for our physical capabilities.

The moment you start talking about Auditory IQ and the ability to recognize tone, pitch, etc. they might. :whoa: on those props.

But when it comes to recognizing his freakish ability play a right handed guitar upside down with his freakishly large long fingers and innovate his usage for pedals, and live distortion of an instrument, that’s about the same as them worshiping Jordan. Jimi was playing back up for Litte Richard while Richard was on the chilin circuit. Jimi always had raw talent.

Jimi Hendrix gets extreme praise..

He changed the way people approached playing guitar at that time...only people who criticize Jimi are a$$holes, racists who don't want to give him just do.

To be honest he gets way more praise from whites than black people..I wish black people would pick up the guitar more. Black people tend to not be interested in Rock music on the scale that white people do.

But yea Jimi Hendrix is pretty much seen as a Rock God..Guitar God...he changed the game up

In fact if you say some shyt like

"Jimi's playing was sloppy" "hey only played blues scale", that lets me know you're a try hard, hating a$$hole:pacspit:

His guitar playing,songwriting,his showmanship,his stage presence,Humility..:wow:

Compared to the other guy who also changed the landscape of guitar playing (Eddie Van Halen), Jimi was modest, and humble...he got on stage with Cream, who were seen as the top blues act around in the UK and Clapton was seen as a guitar god, and completely blew them away and shat on them without really even trying, he humbled Eric and many other players over there.:wow:

With all due respect. What the fukk did you just write? With all due respect.

YOUR WHITE BOY ROCK HEROS LITERALLY COPY OFF OF BLACK BLUES MUSICIANS. ERIC CLAPTON, STEVIE RAY VAUGHN, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Elvis Pressley on and on and on. ALL OF THEM COPIED OFF OF BLACK BLUES MUSICIANS.

BLACK PEOPLE INVENTED ROCK AND ROLL!!!!!!! Literally invented it and nobody anywhere plays the guitar like them. Black people also invented Funk. Have you ever listened to the guitar solos in Funk music?

This is Stevie Ray Vaughn in a studio copying off of his idol Albert King.

Here is Freddie King. All White boy rockers copy off of him.

...i'm older than probably most of the cats who have posted in this thread, and have lived all over this company in this life time. with my own eyes and ears, i"ve seen and heard jimmy praised more by them than he is by us.

This. I've seen too many white teens in the 90s wearing shirts with hendricks' image on it to even entertain this thread. Jimi is a stalwart on any classic rock station.

Now if you wanna talk about if cacs listen to Hendricks or HEAR him on some white men can't jump shyt THEN we'd be talking.
