I've lived in NYC and the dancehall influence is so big in the NE that Wap, Shmurda and Desiigner sound like they from the southside of the A :dead:

i used to stay in harlem with my cousins during the summer, i've heard hood nikkas blast shabba ranks and the like before

plus hip-hop is the dominate sound of the black community, i doubt those nikkas would have done any other genre but rap.
these nikkas are cooked breh
