Black ppl created house and we're talking about a song featuring 2 black artists, I fail to see the white washing. If anything it's just another case of Americans being ignorant to the world outside your borders, something which many coli posters are guilty of, Jamaicans blatant role in creating Hiphop is vehemently rejected here by a lot of you, what's the difference between that and someone mislabelling a genre? The real attempt at re-writing history along nationalist and ethnic lines is worse than a simple mistake.

Second, if you're going to check someone over mislabelling a music genre at least do it right, not a single one of you cultural critics have noted the Afrobeat influences on that song, Rihanna's using a copy and paste Afrobeats flow that comes as Drake's been scoping out the London scene and the casting call for the video is requesting extras to turn up with a 'Grime Look' i.e London look, coincidence? It will be according to the coli.

Cacs should pull themselves up by the bootstraps and quit being dependants that drain the Black art system and go develop something for themselves..
whites know(whether they acknowledge that publically or not is different) that rhythm and "the beat" all stem from black music and they are trying their best to mimic it and recreate it.
In fact..in 2016 the beats and drums are the largest driving force in pop music, often overshadowing the actual artists themselves.

first they steal. Then they redefine it. Then they monetize it. That's why its bad. We should be monetizing it, but they own the machine so were at a disadvantage. They do this shyt all the time

I'm sure some academic has written a paper about why black people lost House but held onto Rap music?

Cacs already took Ska and Roots Reggae, it's only a matter of time before they take Dancehall from the Jamaican brehs :beli:

Do you guys listen to yourselves?

No one has "taken" or "lost" anything.
