Wemby's 20 and I'd trust my team build around that guy more though.

I understand the argument, but it's just tough for me to see Cade as a championship carrying #1. Luka is having a hard time with it right now and I don't think Cade is nearly the natural playmaker Luka is and has a smaller frame.

It definitely ain't hate, all I'm saying is to keep the option open and don't be static. Phoenix closed the door on a Luka/Booker backcourt because they thought Book was that guy so they went with the more raw prospect who seemed like a better fit rather than take the ball out of Book's hands and stack a crazy backcourt. Turns out that latter would've worked really well the way he played off CP3 and they'd have their backcourt set for the next decade.

Kind of like the Magic looked like it was going to be Franz Wagner's team and people were saying Jabari Smith should be the Magic's choice at #1 because of the "fit" with Franz. Similarly, I just see a lot of takes like "Put shooters around Cade" when the answer should really be "Take BPA". Like if Nikola Topic is there, you take him at this point and let him and Cade play it out for top dog.

If Cade didn’t have a stupid as franchise prioritizing fixing James wiseman and had them trading for a hall of fame defensive big man like Gobert maybe it wouldn’t be this awful

Facts breh. To me, if a player has a Franchise #1 talent, you will see it immediately or at least sometime in their rookie year. If there's a question mark when you first see them, then they usually aren't a #1 option

A Jimmy Butler or Kawhi Leonard type of trajectory is RARE. Cade just doesn't have that #1 talent
