a friend of mine had some rare as fukk tape that Em and Cage were on together, I wish I knew the name of it. he showed me it like 7 or 8 years ago, im a pretty big Cage fan, and I still dont know wtf the name of the track that was, but it was the only time I ever heard it...the Em one, too. I needa get a hold of him and ask him about that. Cage has a lot of shyt that is "lost" and unable to find.
ANYWAYS. I know Cage and Em had some beef because he felt Em was jockin him, and tbh.. he kinda was. like someone said, Cage was doin what Em started doing long before Em, not to say he's the first, but w.e. Eminem just i guess did it better? and capitalized off of it.. obviously. Cages music just wasn't exactly appealing enough to the masses to blow up, unlike Eminem's.

there writing isn't too far off, imo. I feel Eminem just had a wider range of vocabulary.

i know but u did try to compare the two and i was just stating facts they write nothing alike
eminem at least on infinite average more syllables per word then anybody in rap history and those are facts not a opinion
only thing they got common imo is that they white and they both rap but that's about it.
dude.. it's undeniable to compare the two.. and i do think Eminem was influenced by him and never gave him his credit and that's why Cage was bitter about it and accused him of biting. they worked together when Cage was like already movin around heavily in the underground and Em was like nothing and barely rapping. they essentially both rap about the same kinda shyt, shock rap. in fact.. like someone else said earlier in this thread, Cage actually had the really fukked up life and psychological problems Eminem seems to rap about and portray.
eminem is basically a step up from your avg white horrorcore rapper
he just got lucky being at the right time and place in hip hop and linking up with Dre.only thing Em really has on cage is being a better multi-syllable rapper and a larger vocabulary, there styles and content is fairly similar. so no, the only thing they have in common is not being white rappers.
