Sigh one lazy dude started something. Just like that one dude who had people rolling there one pants leg up. I don't know what you are trying to get at. I am not calling you lazy nor those kids and there fashion choice. You seem to not know that originally a du rag was not ment to be worn outside.

I'm getting at the fact that your views seem conditioned. Why are you attaching a negative stigma to something so harmless? I had older people in my family criticising me when I got cornrows. I had dudes in college saying I had jail braids

What rule book was passed around saying you weren't supposed to wear a durag outside? People wore stocking caps, scarves, and bandanas outside back in the 60's and 70's. Yes it became a style much later but again there's a stigma attached to our cultural norms.

Rules are subject to change but it’s not like not wearing a durag is a deal breaker for your purpose at school.

Some people who go to uniform schools got more issues with dress codes than this.

Honestly find it hard to care. In fact I think more schools should enforce dress codes to the point of uniforms. Worrying about clothes when you should be worried about doing your fukking school work is a distraction .

If I have any kids I'd love to send them to a school with uniforms.

If I have a kid who is worrying about their fashion more than school they're getting smacked.

Like I said it was not made to be worn outside but it became a style anyway. The lazy comment was a joke and like many youth you can't take a joke. Instead of laughing at the visual at one dude who mange to convince a generation that he did not forget to take off his du rag off you took that shyt personally.

The policy for the durag ban says, “apparel that reasonably could be determined to threaten the health and safety of the school environment if it were worn or displayed on a school campus.” The policy goes on to say, “hats, caps and other head coverings shall not be worn indoors.”

I remember being kicked out of class in high school but having a pretty good debate about it with my teacher over me not wanting to remove my crown covering my locks (was dreaded for about 2 yrs at the time).

I thought it was bullshyt that all the crazy baldheads could rock their wave caps and doo rags, but as a knotty head I couldn't have anything on my head. Had to argue that it was somehow equivalent to a kufi or yarmulke.

If I remember correctly (this was over 20yrs ago though ), my teacher yielded and let me cook. But later that same week (might have even been that same day), one of the supervisors, some middle aged white lady at my job, hit me with the telling me to remove it. I was working as a telemarketer in an office building. Pulled the same argument and she was like, " Bring a note from your pastor or minister saying it's for religious reasons and you can wear it."

Don’t ever remember wearing hats indoors at school. But maybe I did though, that was over fifteen years ago.

I do remember I used to play soccer and wore a do rag during games until the fourth game and the refs told me I couldn’t play with it on.
