SMF and LAX to VA and NC
when i moved here in 2014 2 bedroom 2 bath was 1500... now its fukin studios thats 2000 :mjlol:

well.. los angeles has a monopoly on the creative industries, which now is oversaturated. If i can maintain remote work, i'ma leave next year and just come back and visit people.

You can still get studio's and 1BR under $2, the only issue is you may have to compromise living somewhere that isn't ideal. There's give and take with all these things...

Im trying to move to the LA area:mjlit:

Can I get a studio or 1 bedroom for $1800?

See above...

that really doesn't make any sense though because if those shytty places are still expensive that is essentially a scam because those places are not truly valuable enough to command a high price. sounds like they're pushing people towards slavery

The same thing is happening in NYC, the highly educated and higher income population is moving in and the lower income ones are moving out. Low key Californians may actually prefer it.

Bullshyt.

Get your hustle up or go somewhere else. Yes it’s expensive, it’s California. Yes the state with the largest population and the largest economy is expensive… duh.

It’s not built for everyone.
what is the limit on the expensiveness? It does not make any sense for living costs to go up with more people because the majority will usually be middle to low income. That sounds backwards as hell, there isnt even dependable rail transit for lower income to people to reliably move to cheaper areas, exactly what is a person who is not rich getting back for living their that isnt some bullshyt vice like women and deceptively destructive weather and pollution?

Yes there’s dependable rail transit in San Diego, LA and The Bay.
