California has a budget surplus. :sas1:

Y'all fake black people gotta stop or y'all real black people gotta stop following the lead of white supremacist because you think your interest are intertwined. :mjpls:

Stay your moist ass outta my reps. :pacspit:

You care more about these people than the Black people they are effecting. Who is more of a fake Black person than somebody who is hoping for the demise of Black Californians? :mjpls:

I see you didn't respond to the facts.:Mjhornetshtlol:

Increased benefits for poor and lower class Californians which as you point out tend to be black so the budget directly increases health benefits for disenfranchised blacks. :Cookoutcam2:
It’s worth noting the state also affirmed its commitment to restoring optional Medi-Cal benefits. During the recession, coverage for audiology, optical, podiatry, speech therapy and incontinence creams had been taken away
But wait it gets better :Mjthisgood:
Newsom and lawmakers hope to expand assistance to 190,000 middle-income Californians making between $48,000 to $72,000 a year, according to Health Access California, a health advocacy group.

The hits keep coming

In fact, California parents and women will get a sales tax exemption on diapers and menstrual products (though only for two years).
:Bigwow3:

@the cac mamba they even have something for you! :DaSmitty:
Lawmakers embraced the governor’s proposal to use some of the surplus to make extra pension payments

Budget looking strong. Even addressing homeless and affordable housing at a tune of 2bn

:Legoderas:
With new commitments topping $2 billion, the budget represents the most important action the governor has taken so far on housing and homelessness. The lion’s share will target the state’s homeless population, including $650 million in grants for cities and counties to build and maintain emergency shelters and $100 million for wrap-around care for the state’s most vulnerable residents. Another $500 million will go to quintuple the size of the state’s affordable housing financing fund, plus hundreds of millions earmarked for cities to update their often outdated housing plans.

100bn for education as well as additional funding for a 2nd year of tuition free community College. I might move back to Cali. :Swearimsmiling:

By this logic you shouldn't be excited about a raise if you still have a mortgage

america in general is pretty much "renting" this financial system :ehh: california's budget is not sustainable, hence its disgusting cost of living. you're touting a 20 billion dollar budget surplus when they're over a trillion dollars in debt :laff:

California's State and Local Liabilities Total $1.5 Trillion | California Policy Center
Based on their GDP and budget surplus numbers they could, if they chose, pay their debt off faster than most people pay for a home.

My analogy still holds. :pachaha:

That said, california's high cost of living has nothing to do with state and local debt. :skip:

good to know that sales tax and property tax and every tax in the state, doesnt go towards paying state employees and underfunded pension liability and all the other costs of running the state :ehh:
