Empty? Even if you were to deport every single illegal mexican, there are still about 30 million mexican-americans in this country, and about 50 million latino-americans all together. For some reason "mexican" has become synonymous with latino, and latino synonymous with illegal. With mexicans you can just bus them over the border(many of which return anyway), but with central and south americans it's more difficult to send them back, unless you have mass flights, but they just end up in detention centers for a couple years before being returned. Immigration raids and deportation has been happening for over one hundred years, it ain't nothing new.

If you live in California, or anywhere that has a lot of agriculture, you know that most of the people who work the fields are illegals from latin america. I rarely see american citizens, black/white/latino work the fields. Also the slaughter houses are full of latinos. Do you really think american citizens want to work those jobs? Field work seems easy, but trust me, it's fukkin hard. And you don't get paid by the hour, you get paid by the crate or bundle.



If americans did work those jobs, they would demand higher wages and benefits which would drive up the cost of food. I don't think americans would want to pay more for food. If anything this might lead to legal work for illegals by way of another bracero program.
