Call me crazy, but I thought getting millions of dollars to play a professional sport should be more important than the city you are in (ACE BAILEY)

For anybody who knows the Joe Budden Podcast, this is Ish's brother-in-law...which says enough.

:lolbron: @ the name of his company being LifeStyle Sports Agency.

Omar Cooper legal issues
Kevin Armstrong of NJ Advanced Media reports that Cooper had legal issues in his past, as he was charged with attempted murder and possession with intent to distribute cocaine on or by school property in the 1990s, and indicted in 2003 for possessing a machine gun and black short-clip Uzi. As a result, Cooper served six months for the cocaine conviction, while the other charges were dismissed.

Omar Cooper clients
Omar Cooper has a very small client list. According to RealGM.com, Cooper represents Bailey, Rutgers player Tariq Francis and G League free agent Babatunde Akingbola.

THERE IS BALANCE.
A NEW TEAM HAS WON THE
TITLE FOR THE LAST 7 YEARS.

THE LAST 5 CHAMPS
WERE ANCHORED BY HOME GROWN PLAYERS
FOR THE MOST PART

That has more to do with organizations being better run and the league going out of its way to ensure that teams can’t stay intact for too long. Not the draft that’s been around since forever.

Let’s just ignore the fact that a team with two future hall of famers just got the number one pick in the draft. Without a draft, you’d still have a cap you’d have to adhere to. So Cooper Flagg still has to decide whether or not he’d want to take a MASSIVE pay cut to play for the Lakers, where he’s not guaranteed touches or enough playing time to develop.

I knew he was connected, but didn’t know that was Ish brother in law.

That makes sense though because I remember him talking about Sharife & Te’a Cooper years ago on the pod. Now both of them out the NBA/WNBA :francis:

That explains why he was going so hard recently at Marc on the pod about Ace not working out for other teams.

I think that was the agency he worked for a bit when he told the pod he used to be a sports agent. :russ:

He was the “Head of Communications” for the agency.

maybe just me. but people really was doing too much analyzing how dude was looking after getting drafted
he was in the interview laughing, smiling. folks started that whole "he looks sad" stuff and everybody started jumping on bandwagon

This.

shyt is a fake narrative .

Kid had the most fun.
of any draftee in history in college. Plus one half of one of the most lit college tandems.
Who played at rutgers of all places.
Where did this narrative start.
Ace had fun All that time.

Where did this narrative start and come from?

Kid had a ball every time i seen him on camera since college. It is like they tried to ruin his whole light on purpose. Who did ace piss off.
Plus how?
As the kid had a ball everytime i seen him. One of my favorite draftees ever off pure attitude and fun.

Like where did the hate start?
who statted the hate?

:what:

Wait, so he turned down a private flight that the Jazz had for them to fly from NYC to Salt Lake? I thought it was a logistical thing where he just didn't go with his new teammate, but he just didn't get on the team's private jet?

:dahell:

He really wasn't thinking he would be going across the country
:mjlol:

This is stupid

Um is a manager necessary to have with an agent?

It’s not uncommon for players to have both

The agent handles contract negotiations and securing business deals, the manager handles the other stuff. If you want to sign the athlete to an endorsement deal, you negotiate with the agent. If you want them to do an interview on your podcast, you work with the manager.

If it’s related to contracts, endorsements, licensing - Agent, and agents are certified

If it’s related to events, day to day itinerary, interviews, etc. - Managers, who aren’t certified

Now there are some agents who basically take on both roles for their clients, but there’s others who don’t, especially when they have a bigger roster. I.e. Rich Paul isn’t playing both roles for all his clients
