Call me crazy, but I thought getting millions of dollars to play a professional sport should be more important than the city you are in (ACE BAILEY)

The culture of "giving ultimatums and forcing your way to go where you want to play " has always been odd to me. You are literally a millionaire playing a game 99% of the world plays for fun, I don't get it?

A Sixers reporter just mentioned that Markelle Fultz would not even work out for the Sixers if there was not a guarantee that they were drafting him. Yes I know this is not a new phenomenon. Kobe forced his way out of the Hornets drafting him, Steve Francis forced his way out of the Vancouver Grizzlies, etc

But it always seemed odd to me

when the question is asked “If you can go back in time and change one historical thing”

My answer would be to not let that trade go through and keep Kobe a Hornet

Wait kobe bryant was supposed to be on the hornets?!?:wtf:

Nah, they were always making that pick for Jerry West. It was the Nets that were interested and got a bit of the cold shoulder. It's still a different situation though, West was in the background pulling some invisible strings

Pro sports are one of the very few jobs where you don't get to choose the entity you work for.

Location is a huge factor in job choice for ALL people. (Commute, weather, lifestyle, cost of living)

If you had 30 job offers in front of you wouldn't you rank them too? We haven't even talked about team culture or front office incompetence. Players dont get a say in any of that and it shouldnt be discounted because their check is bigger than yours.

This is just hating tbh

I never understood it either, it ain't like these guys are going to rural ass cities with a population of 1000, they're going to major metro areas and getting paid a nice chunk of change to do it too. Like dog give me millions of dollars to play ball and I'll be in Salt Lake City by the end of the day:pachaha:

The shyt really ain't that big of a deal
